Issues or problems encountered and solutions: Plans for next week: Project 11: Security and Privacy of the Communication Channels among IoT Devices REU Student: Dean Wasil Graduate mentor: Omar Nakhila Faculty Mentors: Dr. Zou and Dr. Turgut June 11 – June 17, 2016: Week 4 Accomplishments: Read publication on mobile data attacks using: Bypass of mobile authentication, Fraud in mobile authentication, and Accounting volume inaccuracy Finished sifting through publications, articles, and the internet for mobile data attacks Pretty sure there have been no mobile data consumption attacks done that can be used on individuals Issues or problems encountered and solutions: Knowing how deep to search Plans for next week: Determine if other implementations of the attack are feasible by abusing the mobile network infrastructure Meet with mentor to test potential implementations of mobile data attacks
