Welcome to Little Owl Childcare Limited

Context We have 3 settings all within a mile radius. All 3 settings ar3 attached to local primary schools Setting 1 offers sessional provision for 2 and 3 year olds Setting 2 and 3 offer sessional nursery for 2 years olds and all day provision for 3 year olds who link in with our out of school club these settings have a school nursery on site too. 2 of our settings are placed within in an area where there will be a high demand for 30 hours in September 2017 Currently we provide 30 hours childcare through the early implementers at 2 settings

30 Hours at Little Owl Childcare Barriers : Physical space to provide 30 hours Pressure from Head Teachers to support PAN numbers which could impact places for 2 year olds with in our settings.

What did we do?? Autumn 2015 with the support from Staffordshire County council we set up a Childcare hub. How has this supported the 30 hours? Together we provide a seamless childcare provision for families.

Early implementer Approached by Staffordshire county council in August to be an early implementer- Barriers: We are term time only so families had to be contacted during the holidays which resulted in a lower uptake.

Critical Learning Meet with joint providers before hand and support each other with paper work. This is done through our childcare hub. Ensure all the partners involved are registered with local authority to accept the NEF If you can, support parents in completing the forms.
