Please consider these SIMPLE design tips when creating your presentation. Short and sweet Limit bullet points per slide Illustrations Use powerful images in lieu of text Mix up formatting Incorporate examples, video, polls, games, etc. Placement of core point Ensure message doesn’t get lost on slide Less is best Consider slide count vs. session length Enrich Give your slides a story
Slide Example #1: Adopt the 7X7 theory to reduce wordiness Limit yourself to 7 lines of text per slide 7 words per line
Slide Example #2: Increase whitespace Use images and infographics to convey information Whitespace helps emphasize the most important point
Other Reminders Double check that your ratio setting is correct. Your presentation should be done in Standard (4:3), 16:9 widescreen version cannot be accepted. To ensure your ratio setting is correct, go to the ‘Design’ tab, click Slide Size and choose Standard (4:3)
Other Reminders The purple session evaluation slide (Slide #11) must be left in this deck in its current placement and is not to be moved to the end of the PPT after the Q&A slide.
