High School Selection All 8th grade students must select a high school between the dates of February 7th – March 6th by 4pm on www.sduhsd.net. DNO student options are: LCC, SDA, CCA or TP To make an informed decision, plan to attend the choice nights at any school you are considering. High School Choice Nights: SDA: February 9th CCA: January 15th LCC: February 7th TP: February 16th Lottery if necessary March 16th!

High School Graduation Requirements Students must earn 230 credits LCC: 30 credits per semester, 60 credits per year SDA: 40 credits per semester, 80 credits per year Students must pass Integrated Math 1 Integrated Math 1 is most often taken in the 9th grade Taking Health & PE is a requirement for graduation
Graduation Requirements 230 credits in the following subject areas: History/Social Science 30 credits English 40 credits Math 30 credits Science 20 credits* Visual or Performing Art 10 credits PE (health req’t met by taking Year One PE) 20 credits Career Technical Education 10 credits Electives 70 credits Total 230 credits 10 credits = one year *State science standards are changing to align with math sequence and will be a 3 year model instead of the current 2 year requirement. We do not have an official date of when this will change, so these are the current graduation requirements until further notice.

What you can do NOW to best prepare for high school Be here every day on time, “ready to learn.” Complete all classwork/homework assignments. Communicate with your teachers. Be organized – use your agenda. Regularly check teacher websites/Aeries. Study for tests: Take advantage of CAT time. Would you like to participate in high school sports? Maintain C grades or higher to be eligible for Fall sports!
