Computer Applications Safety Review: Computer Applications

Non-Negotiable Standards for Behavior and Learning at East Hamilton School   Show courtesy and respect for EVERYONE on campus.    Always be prepared for class – physically and mentally. Uphold East Hamilton’s Honor Code by taking pride in your learning and the learning of others.

Expectations for Computer Applications   Follow all school policies and safety guidelines. Silence cell phone and check it in AS SOON AS you enter the classroom.   Absence of Phone = Absence Phone checked in AFTER the bell = Tardy Complete all assignments daily during class time. Obtain missed assignments from the East Hamilton website (www.ehmhs.hcde.org) 5. Use appropriate, professional business and work etiquette.

Expectations (Continued) Do NOT change settings or screen savers on the computers. Report any equipment problems to Ms. Smith immediately. Leave your work area neat and clean.

Expectations for Computer Applications

FIRE DRILL You will hear a tone, followed by an announcement. Exit quietly and quickly from the door that leads to the “spine.” (left of the white board). Walk out the main school entrance doors and into the parking lot. Remain in a quiet, calm line. Teacher will take roll.

Tornado Drill You will hear a tone, followed by an announcement. Exit to Connector hallway. Sit along the Connector wall. Put your head down, arms over head. Remain in this position until an announcement is made. Remain quiet and calm.

LOCKDOWN Your teacher will be notified of the lockdown. Listen closely and follow all directions. Teacher will lock both classroom doors and turn off lights. Students will be completely quiet and hide in storage closet (or where blue anchor is located). No one will answer the door or speak. An administrator will open the door when the lockdown is over.
