Le Pitre Salento Negroamaro IGT Established in 2005, the “Le Pitre” collection of wines are an expression of the potential of the indigenous varietals of the region by optimizing the marriage of terroir and varietal characteristics, using the latest field research to improve characteristics. Though each has its own identity in features, they are common in spirit and purpose: to represent the best of Salento and the Mottura philosophy. Le Pitre Salento Negroamaro IGT A wine with a very strong impact, pleasant nose concentration of different aromas, from ripe red fruits to spicy, with vanilla and toasty scents that make a persistent and elegant bouquet. Wine with a great character and qualities typical of its territory. VINIFICATION Fermentation of the must at a controlled temperature, traditional maceration for 14-16 days, good use of the delestage process and of pumping over. AGEING 12 months in French (Oak) Barrels REFINEMENT 2/3 months in the bottle COLOR Intense Ruby Red AROMA A rich and elegant bouquet with notes of ripe summer fruit, plums and blackberries and the sensation of aromatic herbs with a finish of currants and raspberries.
