SG 16 updates since last CITS meeting

Joint Q27/16 & Q6/17 meeting Experts of Q27/16 (Vehicle gateway) and Q6/17 (Security aspects of ubiquitous telecommunication services) met jointly on 2 September 2016 at ITU Both groups recognized that; feedback will be exchanged for the harmonization of terminologies used in Draft Rec. ITU-T X.itsec-1 (by SG17) and Draft Rec. ITU-T G.VGP-ARCH (by SG16), the necessity of drafting Technical Paper jointly to give the guidance for the potential readers of both recommendations, the draft Technical Report on “Secure Over-the-Air Vehicle Software Updates Operational and Functional Requirements” requested from CITS should be published under the responsibility of Lead Study Group on ITS (namely by SG 16), necessity for the continuation of regular joint coordination meetings

SG 16 in 2016-2020 Study Period Draft study plan of Question H/16 (continuation of Q.27/16) was approved at WTSA-16 held in Hammamet, Tunisia as explained in SG16 Overview Mr. Zhong LUO (Huawei Technologies, China) was appointed as the new Chairman, together with 7 vice chairmen, for 2017-2020 study period The details of new SG16 structure (Working Parties, management team, etc.) will be approved at next SG 16 meeting (16-27 January 2017, Geneva) The number of Question for Vehicle Gateway should most likely be the same as it had been (Q.27), and also for Rapporteur SG16 will participate in CITS coordination and collaboration actively as has been
