TURN FROM EVIL AND DO GOOD I Peter 3:1-12

TURN FROM EVIL AND DO GOOD I Peter 3:1-12

Romans 12: 17 and 14 Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.

Matthew 5:38-39, 43-44 You have heard that it was said, ‘Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.’ But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also. You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you…

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Romans 12:21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

To Take Home Followers of Jesus refuse to return evil for evil, and engage in aggressive goodness toward all, especially toward those who persecute them. We must “turn from evil and do good.”
