Native American Symbol Activity & Reflection www.letsteachhistory.com

Which symbols represent you? Look through the Native American symbols and meanings that have been distributed. Choose 3 symbols that describe you or an aspect of your personality or life. Paint the symbols on you or your paper. Be ready to explain to the class which symbols you chose and why you chose them.

Reflection Write a brief reflection answering the following questions: What aspects of Native American culture appeal to you? What aspects of Native American culture do you feel you cannot relate to? If you were a Native American, what would you like best about your life? If you were a Native American, what would you like least about your life?
