Week 14: Festivals of the World Presentation should be coming together at this point.

Groups In presentation groups, complete this survey. Each group should be meeting out of class to work on presentation. If any group members have not met/participated/helped – please write that on the form.

This survey is important If you do not know the answers to these questions, you should be meeting more often! You have only two weeks left until your presentation. Your presentation is 30% of your grade!

Final Performance Evaluation Sheet Look at the final performance evaluation sheet. You will fill out an evaluation for each presentation and for each speaker. I will give you a grade based on how accurately you can evaluate different presentations.

Outlines – show me I want to see your outlines. Each of your outlines should be detailed. You should have a lot of information about your festival or festivals. This will ensure that you meet the time requirements. (20-25 minutes per group)

Creative Activity Sheet Last week in class, you got a creative ideas sheet. What will you do for your presentation that is creative (more than just reporting the info)? How well is it planned? How much time do you expect it to take?

15 minute group work At this point, you should have general reports done with your information. Sit in a circle in your groups. Practice reading through your reports. Add opinions and recommendations to the information. Fix grammar and pronunciation problems. Ask me for help if you need it!

PPT Review Title slide: names, student numbers, festival names, good picture Not too much text – easy to read; English; good color Good images? Clear, in focus, not too busy Final slide: Thanking, question time, image?

In groups Complete this survey about your ppt. We will look at some .ppt slides from some groups right now and talk about them. Let’s go to the computer lab. (room 2222). You will have the rest of class to finalize your ppt. Fix major mistakes. I will give feedback on what can be improved.

HW – Final reports and PPTs Next week, bring me ONE printed copy of your final PPT for each group. Each group should have their reports written. You should bring TWO copies of your reports to class. You must bring NOTECARDS to class next week. We will make note cards in class and practice speaking, timing, and presenting next week.
