How to relieve stress by listening to music By: Bella Salita

Releasing stress through the power of music Music can have a profound effect on both the emotions and the body. Faster music can make you feel more alert and concentrate better. Upbeat music can make you feel more optimistic and positive about life. A slower tempo can quiet your mind and relax your muscles, making you feel soothed while releasing the stress of the day. Music is effective for relaxation and stress management. If you want to take the positive effects of listening to music to another level, try singing. Singing is one of the best ways to shift the vibrations of our thoughts and the very cells of our body, helping slow and regulate breathing and promote relaxation. If you’re going to sing, pick songs you know will put you in a better mood, inspire you, or help you relax. Pay attention to how different you feel after a few minutes of singing aloud, and make note of the songs that make you feel best so you can return to them when you need them most.

How can music relieve stress Music can relieve stress by distracting the stressful things in your life. It can also calm your mind. If you want to take the positive effects of listening to music to another level, try singing. Singing is one of the best ways to shift the vibrations of our thoughts and the very cells of our body, helping slow and regulate breathing and promote relaxation. Sing in the shower; sing in the car; hum a lullaby before going to sleep. Don’t worry if you’re a “good” singer or not; this is not about performing or putting yourself in another stressful situation. Just enjoy the feeling of melody moving through you.

Research on Music Music has been used for hundred of years to treat illnesses and restore harmony between mind and body. But recently, scientific studies have attempted to measure the potential benefits of music. They have found: Music’s form and structure can bring order and security to disabled and distressed children. It encourages coordination and communication, so improves their quality of life. Listening to music on headphones reduces stress and anxiety in hospital patients before and after surgery. Music can help reduce both the sensation and distress of both chronic pain and postoperative pain. Listening to music can relieve depression and increase self-esteem ratings in elderly people. Making music can reduce burnout and improve mood among nursing students. Music therapy significantly reduces emotional distress and boosts quality of life among adult cancer patients.

If you follow these tips I’m sure that the power of music will save you from your stressful moments! So stop freaking out just grab some headphones and distract your mind with the power of music!
