Movie Poster Gallery Walk Objectives: I will evaluate the topics available for the research paper so I can select a topic and develop a thesis statement. You will need the following for today’s lesson: Pen or pencil Please turn off all electronics.

Movie Poster Gallery Walk View the movie posters for the 100 movie choices available. Complete the Movie Poster Gallery Walk handout and turn in when you are finished. What are your top 5 movie choices? What made you choose this movie and want to write about it? What are your bottom 5 movie choices? What about these movies did you not like?

Movie Selection In each class period, no two people can have the same movie. We will have a random drawing to determine the order in which you can select your movie. Draw a number from the box. When your number is called, you may come sign up for your movie.

Question Selection and Thesis Statement You will apply one of the critical theories we have studied this year to the movie of your choice. To guide your research, select ONE of the questions to answer in your research paper. Mark your selection by circling the number of the question. Begin to research your movie and develop a thesis statement based on your selected movie and question. This handout is for a quiz grade and is due 1/10 (A), 1/13 (B).
