Parents Information Meeting Tuesday 11th September We believe that we are all God's work of art. We strive to respect and care for each other and to use our talents to do our best. By doing this, we are 'Learning in the Light of Christ'  

Welcome to Year 3 Working in Year 3 will be Miss Pringle – Class teacher Mrs Moccia - French Mrs Joyce – RE for one session Mrs Coupland LSA Mrs Ferguson LSA

Timetable What your child will need: Everyday they should bring in their water bottle, reading book and reading record book – these will be sent home Friday. Letters from parents to be given to the teacher at the beginning of the morning (during register time) Tuesday - Library book can be chosen Monday & Tuesday – P.E. Problem solving and invasion games Autumn. French lesson on Wednesday guitars – put into the music room and taken home at the end of the day

Expectations Your child has become familiar with the routines and organisation of the school –how break time and lunchtimes are organised etc.. to become more independent and involved in their learning that they take pride in their work and present their work to a high standard - handwriting and writing in pencil. to build on their previous year’s learning so that they continue to move forward that they take responsibility – within the classroom – monitors and leaders that work is completed and handed in on time so that feedback can be given and acted upon – marking and feedback time Behaviour – keep to the class rules we have decided upon

Homework Homework will be given on a: Friday – English – comprehension task , grammar task and spellings and a Maths task. To be returned by Tuesday. Spellings will be tested on a Friday. On-going – multiplication tables and daily reading Your child will have a day for changing their reading books and we also encourage them to read for pleasure. Homework Books/Folders – same standard of presentation, returned to school by Tuesday Late homework will not be marked.

P.E * The children will have a P.E lessons on Monday and Tuesday in the Autumn term. * Please leave P.E kits in school for half a term. We will send them home earlier if they get muddy!

Remember that if you have any concerns then please come and speak to me. I, like you, want the best for your child and therefore I should be your first port of call. Mrs Lennox will be happy to make an appointment for you and I will be more than happy to meet with you – before or after school. We look forward to working in partnership with yourselves and your child, and we hope it will be a happy and productive year.
