EB-5 Green Card Overview The EB-5 visa program was created by the U.S. government in 1990 to encourage economic development and job creation. EB-5 visas offer immigrant investors the most flexible path to permanent U.S. residence and citizenship. Through the EB-5 visa program there are 10,000 green cards available each year, with 3,000 set aside for the regional center program. The EB-5 Program was renewed for an additional three years in October 2013.

Additional fees for Obtaining the EB-5 Visa In addition to the minimum capital contribution of $500,000, plus a syndication fee of $39,000. Legal fees vary according to the immigration attorney and the varying amount work involved but are unlikely to exceed $15,000. The EB-5 visa filing fee, payable to the USCIS, is $1,435 per applicant Family.  The fee to the NVC (National Visa Center) is $380 per applicant.  Medical examinations are $145 for each adult and $125 for children under 15.  The total fees for a family of two adults and a child under 15 will total approximately $65,000 USD.
