What are nouns? A noun is a part of speech that describes a person, animal, place, or thing.

What is a possessive noun? A possessive noun is a noun that "owns" something else in the sentence.

How do you form the singular possessive noun? To form a singular possessive noun add an apostrophe (´) and the letter “s” to a singular noun. The airplane's engine was loud.

How do you form the singular possessive noun when the noun ends in -s? To form a singular possessive noun in words ending in´-s just add an apostrophe (´) and the letter “s” The bus's is full of people.
