VERTIGO PROPOSAL BY KATIE ABBOTT

Audience Participation Dress code for those who buy tickets to either dress in 1950 clothing or dress as Madeline and Scottie from the film. Also, the women could have their hair up and styled as Madeline from the film as Scottie always loved her hair in that specific way. Along side that, we could also get them involved by having them play out a scene from the movie with them dressed up as the characters as well. We could involve the BFI Love Season theme with heart cookies served either at the beginning or at the end with say pictures of Scottie and Judy/Madeleine around the room. Dress Code for the women and for the men. Women hairstyle as this

Marketing We could make a Facebook & Twitter page for the event. We could broadcast it by encouraging likes, shares and retweets. We could make a poster and then share that on various different pages (UCLan Film Studies pages, Blog Preston, Cardinal Newman etc.) around Preston encouraging different people to come & share. We could print flyers and hand them out in all crucial places such as the markets near Harris Museum, leave flyers in the Harris for people who may be a potential audience to collect, flyers on pin boards everywhere and handing them into shops etc.. We could get out in public places and tell people about it in person, pitch it to people even. Let them know where they can get tickets from, how they can get tickets, what audience participation there would be, why they may be interested in seeing the movie. Communication with the public.
