PORTRAITS In the style of

Pablo Picasso was a Spanish artist who was born in 1891 and died in 1973. For much of his life he lived in France creating drawings, paintings and printings. He was also a poet, playwright and stage designer.

Picasso created many portraits throughout his life. Picasso portrait of his son, Paul. Picasso self-portrait

Picasso developed a style called Cubism. This is where figures were painted using geometrical shapes such as squares, cubes, cylinders and cones. The paintings looked like they had been cut up and then glued back together. Another feature of his work is that he showed different views of the figure at the same time.
