The Layout of the Boards There are 4 blocks of 60 questions = 240 questions You will get 2 minutes per question By comparison: Step 1 = 280 questions, Step 3 = ~400 questions There is no penalty for guessing so answer EVERY question The “pass” score is set prior to the exam being administered so it is not “graded on a curve” The average board pass rate is around 65% so you need to plan on answering 2/3 questions correctly
