Department of Navy: Summer Faculty Research Program Experience Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) 06/2010 – 08/2010 Conducted a feasibility study of the U.S. Navy’s use of Unmanned Undersea Vehicles (UUV), wrote technical reports and created electronic briefs, analytical documents, research findings, and solicitations for research proposals. Utilized various computer simulations, modeling, and analytical solutions to address new factors that could affect the UUV’s mission goals. Research included management of scanning radius, which can cause communication interference between the autonomous-submarine vehicles. Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command Atlantic SPAWARSYSCEN Atlantic 06/2011– 08/2011 & 06/2012 – 08/2012 Modeled, analyzed and provided improvement recommendations for simulations on DNA sequences of genomes. Evaluated the complete genome of E. Coli’s by examining at sequences of bases - sequences are regularly interspaced short palindromic repeat or CRISPR regions. Research results used in applications in Cryptography and Cyber Security.
