Building Positive Mental Health For All What is Thrive? Mental health awareness week on campus for STUDENTS, STAFF & FACULTY because everyone has Mental Health. Up to 60 events are scheduled to be held throughout the Queen’s campus and the community November 2nd – November 6th , most of which are free! WHY THRIVE? 20% of Canadians will personally experience a mental illness in their lifetime (CMHA, 2015) 80% of people with depression RECOVER and early intervention leads to a higher incidence of recovery (CMHA, 2015) 6.6 Million of Canadians aged 15+ stated that most days were ‘quite a bit’ or ‘extremely stressful’ (Stats Canada, 2013)

How Can You Thrive Today? Spend time outside between classes and work Go to bed early and get 7-9 hours of sleep Listen to some tunes Do a random act of kindness Unplug  have some guilt-free quiet time Cook a healthy meal with friends Your mental health is important; It’s OK to take time to take care of yourself
