Syllabus! Yep….

HOW TO GET THE GRADE THAT YOU WANT Enjoy speaking Spanish! (or pretend) Do everything with 100% effort. Volunteer often. Take risks! Practice at home! Ask questions! Be awesome. Don’t be a jerk.

On time = In the room when the bell rings (3 tardies = referral) IN CLASS On time = In the room when the bell rings (3 tardies = referral) Each day, take out your Spanish binder and homework. Complete the bell work (“Calentamiento”) quietly on your whiteboard. NEVER sit and do nothing because you don’t get it. ASK! Be completely intentional. All the time. Stay organized!

(Find any necessary worksheets in the colored drawers.) Absent? If you are absent, you should (in this order): 1. Check the wall calendar (Find any necessary worksheets in the colored drawers.) 2. Ask your partner 3. Check with me (if needed) You have ONE day for each absent day to make up work or it becomes LATE.

At home Do the daily practice. You don’t get to be afraid of Spanish words. Email me or Remind message me with questions! Study the vocabulary (Quizlet, flashcards, etc). Study with a friend (but do your own work). Wordreference.com = good Google/Bing translate = baaaaaad (cheating  ZERO)

You will have daily practice assigned most days. Practice may or may not be checked for points on a daily basis, though I reserve the right to do so at any time. YOU must be accountable for your effort. You will start with 100 “daily work” points. Free points – YAY! Each time you do not have an assignment complete, you will lose 10 points. Late work may be completed for 50% credit before or after school with Sra. Stewardson. No late work will be accepted that is completed outside of class. All work not completed on time or with Sra. Stewardson will receive a 0. If I suspect cheating, I reserve the right to give a 0.

Don’t leave class ever. Just don’t. Hall passes Don’t leave class ever. Just don’t. If you are not in class, you are not learning! If you must… you will only be allowed to use the restroom/get a drink during work time (after your work is completed)
