Erasmus + Strategic Partnership Science is about understanding the world around you. Don’t think of complicated formulas, laboratory codes and textbooks. Think of curious children always asking why. That’s what Science experiments are all about.” This project is based on the Collaboration and Innovation for the acquisition of Good Practices. This project will be sub-divided into three main sections: water, air and fire. Through the water topic, children will learn about water consumption and water saving techniques. We are going to investigate the characteristics and the three phases of water: ice, liquid and steam with the help of various experiments. Through the air topic we will learn about the elements of air, air pollution and protection. This topic will be divided into the following sub-categories: air pressure, wind and sound. Through the fire topic they will get knowledge about fire lighting techniques and solar energy as well. There will be different sub- topics to carry out experiments in: fire, light, sun and heat.

The concrete objectives of our partnership are: - Develop a greater understanding of our natural surroundings, the environment and that of the wider world. - To increase skills by actively participating in activities, like entrepreneurship, creativity, logical thinking, self confidence and communication. - To improve the quality of education in our schools. - To become familiar with the other educational systems and pedagogical principles of our partner countries. - To develop a deeper understanding amongst the children of a shared European identity. - To motivate the students to learn other languages and try to communicate in them for a clear purpose.

Term 1: Water From September 2017 to April 2018 we are going to deal with water related issues. September: First transnational meeting in Ireland October: questionnaire about water, water consumption November: Visiting a sewage plant December: experiments in connection with ice January: experiments in connection with the liquid phase of water February: experiments with steam March: visiting a hydroelectric power plant April: celebrating water: Water Day workshop on water in Hungary. Sharing the work experiences we have done

Term 2 - FIRE May: questionnaire about fire, heat and solar energy June: Pupil exchange to Germany visit a factory/ building that uses solar energy, The use of solar energy in our neighbourhood September: Second transnational meeting in Greece experiments with fire and heat October: experiments with light November: experiments with the Sun December: Celebrating fire, workshop on fire in Slovenia: sharing the experiences Term 2 - FIRE

Term 3 - From January 2019 to June 2019 we are going to learn about air. January: investigating the components of air, causes of air pollution February: Experiments with the sound March: Experiments with air and air pressure April: Experiments with the wind May: celebrating air, visiting a wind farm, workshop on air topic organised at each school and sharing our experiences June: third transnational meeting held in Turkey, investigating the impacts, preparing the final report.
