Distinguished Achievement Plan (DAP) What is an Advanced Measure? A student needs any 4 of the following: Senior Project AP Scores – 3 or higher Dual Credit Classes – A or B in class PSAT score Commended or higher – from Junior year

Exclusions Beyond the required 26 credits, a maximum of 8 semester grades will be excluded from GPA calculation. Purpose – to encourage students to take rigorous electives without concern to GPA Excluded classes will remain on the transcript.

Dual Credit Information What classes are offered? All students need to pass English, Economics and Government for graduation requirements Math – if a student has 4 math credits, it is not needed as a graduation requirement
Dual Credit Information How do the grades affect GPA? Not counted in Lovejoy GPA Begins the college GPA and transcript How will I know how my student is doing? Midterm grades will be posted in powerschool around mid October We only receive midterm and final grades. Students should be able to see their progress on Cougarweb – ask to see their grades
Dual Credit Information Do we have access to Collin College information? Any questions students have about classes should be directed to their professors. We do not have Cougar Web login information. Why do some students have an off period? What does my student do when class is not meeting?
