Abstract Quality in the digital age will enable people –employees, customers and ecosystem partners-to accomplish more with technology. People must continuously learn and adapt, create new solutions, drive relentless change and disrupt the status quo with new business strategies that those technologies drive. This paper describes key digital age trends that will disrupt large enterprises and impact testing. Vision 2017 identifies five technology trends fueled by the people first principle and that are essential to business success in the digital economy. These five technologies trends underpinned by the people first principle impact how testing will be done for systems that use these technologies and approaches. Proposed Best Practice is to demonstrate the unprecedented opportunities that testing professional and quality engineers can avail to provide more effective and efficient quality to their clients.

Designing Future Workforce In the digital era, Professional knowledge of digital technology" and "creativity and imagination" are the most important capabilities that people need to focus on. Industry and business-related professional knowledge follow after these two to achieve better quality. It means that we need balanced skills of digital technology, creativity and business to drive digital transformation.
