Introduction to NYC The population of NYC is 8,200,000. The five boroughs are Manhattan, Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn, and Staten Island. The cultures of NYC can be seen through the different music, arts and languages.

Introduction to Landmark The Chrysler building is a distinctive symbol of NYC. It stands at 1,048 feet tall with 77 stories. The Chrysler Building was the first structure in the world to surpass the 1,000 foot threshold.

History of Landmark William Van Alan was the designer of the building. The Chrysler building was built from 1928 to 1930. The design was originally built for the Chrysler Corporation. It was sold to W.P. Chrysler to home his companies head quarters. The Chrysler Corporation manufactures automobiles.

Specific Location of Landmark The Chrysler Building is located on the east side of Manhattan. It is located on the corner of 42nd Street and Lexington Avenue.

Facts About Landmark The Chrysler building was constructed at an average rate of 4 floors per week. The Chrysler Building is an example of Art Deco architecture. The Chrysler Building placed into the 10 top favorite buildings to visit.
