Logistics in Moldova Logistics Freight forwarder would ship sweet potatoes to the port of Constanta, Romania (estimate-$4700, does not include cost of transportation to U.S. ports, which is estimated at $900. Export estimate information from KHS Transportation Solutions.) From Romanian port, sweet potatoes trucked to Moldovan processing facility. Estimates from Tobacco industry put cost at about $400. At the processing facility, sweet potatoes are washed, repackaged and sent to EU markets. Trucking a container to Poland estimated at $1,100. To Ukraine $500. To Russia $800.
