Unit 4 Lesson 4 How Are Plants Different?
Presentation transcript:

RESULTS AND DISCUSSION Different of coffee tree’s growth according to light condition for one year Niroj Paudel,Sol park* ,Hana park* Dasan ahn, subin jo*, won hee kang Department of Horticulture, Kangwon National University, Chuncheon 24341, Korea INTRODUCTION 1.coffea arabica is a species of coffee originally indigenous to the forests of the southwestern highlands of Ethiopia It is also known as the "coffee shrub of Arabia", "mountain coffee", or "arabica coffee". C. arabica is believed to be the first species of coffee to be cultivated. 2.Wild plants grow between 9 and 12 m (29 and 39 ft) tall, and have an open branching system; the leaves are opposite, simple elliptic-ovate to oblong, 6–12 cm (2.4–4.8 in) long and 4–8 cm (1.6–3.2 in) broad, glossy dark green. 3.The flowers are white, 10–15 mm in diameter and grow in axillary clusters. The seeds are contained in a drupe (though commonly called a "cherry"; the plural form is simply "cherry"—used only when referring to the fruit of C. arabica—when referring to the actua cherry fruit, the appropriate plural is "cherries") 10–15 mm in diameter, maturing bright red to purple and typically contains two seeds 4.The temperature limit of coffee is (18-24) degree centigrade MATERIALS AND METHODS 1.Coffee Arabica is planted in fully suffocated greenhouse environment. 2.Morphological changes of plants is measure such as trunk length, side branch and number of leaf 3.Assumption is effect of light in the morphological changes on plants RESULTS AND DISCUSSION . LIGHT CONDITION DARK CONDITION Coffee Arabica favors the light condition than that of dark Morphological changes op plant in different height due to light effect The effect of light on coffee plant is seen on measurement of different parameter .it shows that the growth of coffee is in day time is more effective than that of night time Coffee flower Coffee fruits CONCLUSION The morphological growth of coffee plant in light condition is much more than that of the dark condition. .
