The Wonder Years Nursery 1 Spring Term – Toucans Ms. Iram March 2016 Upcoming Dates: 10th April-Summer Term Begins (Teachers only) 11th April-Children Return 12th April-Teddy Bear Picnic 5th May-Al Israa Al Miraj Day *(TBC) 16th May-Jungle Day 6th June- Ramadan Start (TBC) 15th June- Pirate/Princess Day 19th June- Graduation Day/ Party 28th June- Last Day of Term Topics this term: Seasons (Holidays, Winter, Spring, Summer, Autumn) Nursery Rhymes (Incy Wincey Spider, Humpty Dumpty, 12345 once I caught a fish alive, Five Little Ducks, Old McDonalds, The Wheels On the Bus) This term… The Toucans welcomed three new friends to their class and we commenced term two with the topic weather and the four seasons. The children took pleasure learning about different weather conditions and the then one by one we discussed each seasons. We learned how to get dressed according and how our environment changes with each season through fun filled activities including art and craft, stories and songs. The Nursery Rhymes was a fun topic among children. They enjoyed a different role play experiences with each rhyme. One ,two ,three , four ,five once I caught a fish alive was specially liked by the children where they loved catching fish with the magnets. Congratulations to all our children who participated on Sports Day. It was a huge success! Everybody received a medal getting dressed for the International Day and Book Character Day was quite thrilling as well. The last nursey event was the Spring Concert which was so much fun. The children looked absolutely stunning in their costumes and they performed really well.
