Purpose Used to move equipment between locations, and it supports the Materiel Release Order and Unit Issue processes.

Background Material Movement is divided into two functions. Plan Pick A ‘plan’ is used to identify specific equipment or items being picked for movement. A ‘pick’ records and updates the physical movement of items based on the execution of the ‘Plan’.

Background Cont. Note: A ‘Pick’ contains two different types of requests… Stock Number Pick (Soft Pick) Inventory Pick (Hard Pick) Soft Pick – Specifies the Stock Number, Condition Code, Owning and Project Code of the assets being picked. This is generic equipment based on its Type.

Background Cont. Hard Pick – Specifies the Inventory Control Number (ICN), Condition Code, Owning DODAAC, Project Code and Location/Container of the equipment being picked. A Hard Pick is directed to an exact location in the warehouse.

Situation You are the Facility Clerk at the IIF. Items, which have been recently received, must be moved from Receiving and Staging Section to other warehouse locations. Using the Material Movement Process, Plan and Pick equipment that requires movement.

Materiel Movement Process 1 Navigate to the Materiel Mgmt tab, scroll to Materiel Movement: (1) Click .

Materiel Movement Process 2 3 4 (2) Click , the Pick Plan Header displays. (3) On the Pick Plan Header page, fill in the mandatory fields, (*) asterisk. (4) Click and the Inventory Picks page displays.

Materiel Movement Process 5 6 2 7 8 (5) Click the to select the equipment to move. (6) Enter stock number or click the to search by item description. (7) Click . (8) Stock number page displays, click Select for the appropriate equipment

Materiel Movement Process 9 9 10 (9) Inventory Selection displays, click . (10) Click and the Selected Inventory Picks page is displayed. Note: Under the Select All column, check the if moving all the equipment from selected location or under the Selected Qty column click the to move a certain quantity from selected location.

Materiel Movement Process 11 12 13 15 14 (11) Check the Change Destination box to select a location to send the equipment to. (12) Click to display the To Location Type choices. (13) Click to display the To Location choices. (14) Click to accept choices. (15) Click .

Materiel Movement Process 16 17 18 (16) Click to create and plan the Pick. (17) Click . (18) Click . Now the Plan is ready to be Pick.

MATERIAL MOVEMENT PROCESS ‘PICK’

Materiel Movement Process 1 Navigate to the Materiel Mgmt tab, scroll to Materiel Movement: (1) Click .

Materiel Movement Process 2 3 (2) Click to pick the planned equipment to be moved. (3) Click for the Pick List. At this point, provide the clerk the pick list. Update information once the items have been properly stowed.

Materiel Movement Process 4 5 6 (4) Click . (5) Click . (6) Click this completes the Plan & Pick Materiel Movement Process.
