RECP for Commercial Sector SwitchMed Connect 2016 RECP for Commercial Sector An initiative for tailoring RECP approach for Commercial Service Providing Sector Palestine PALAST, PPU, 3EConsult-Palestine Imad Khatib, Ayman Sultan, Midhat Sharif & Ayman Daoud

The Commercial Sector Part of country’s economy that includes all businesses except those involved in manufacturing and transport. It “produced” products (services) that can make money It is An energy-consuming sector that consists of service-providing facilities and equipment of: businesses; local governments; and other private and public organizations.

Commercial Sector – Energy & Environment Common uses of energy for space heating, water heating, air conditioning, lighting, refrigeration, cooking, and running a wide variety of other equipment. In addition to generators that produce electricity and/or useful thermal output primarily to support the activities of commercial establishments. Sector includes institutional living quarters, and may include also wastewater/sewage treatment facilities, as well as solid waste management facilities.

RECP Approach A continuous application of preventive environmental strategies to processes, products and services to increase efficiency and reduce risks to human and to environment. This includes supporting enterprises producing goods and services with minimal environmental and social impacts, and preventing or reducing waste generations and lower service cost.
