Survey Ranking of Importance Collaborate with other teachers and administrators to improve their and others’ practices Serve as sources of information and advice for other teachers in the school Work cohesively with the administration

Maintaining a good relationship with students built upon mutual respect is at the forefront of what a master teacher does, according to our survey results.

Master Teacher Relationship with Students Teachers foster and maintain the respect of students Motivate students to strive for high expectations for themselves Communicate high expectations for students in meeting objectives This becomes an environment that advances student learning

The master teacher does not “take care of business of teaching” without first spending considerable time protecting and nurturing their students every single day.

Students need high expectations to achieve, and they rise to meet the high expectations that the master teacher sets for them.

What survey respondents had to say . . . People, not programs is what makes classroom students successful Teaching begins with relationships Exemplary teachers know the importance of building relationships with all stakeholders

Let’s examine some characteristics called “The Learning Environment Mobile”
