God is interested in every areas of our lives At Home At Church At School At work God is interested in every areas of our lives

Anyone who has ACKNOWLEDGED, REPENTED AND FORSAKEN his sins (John 3:16) Someone who has been cleansed through the blood of Jesus, living by God’s grace and FREE FROM SINS (1John3:8,9; Galatians 1:4) Someone who has surrendered his entire life to Jesus and is NOW LIVING IN THE NEWNESS OF LIFE (Romans 12:1,2; 2Corinthians 5:17) Someone following Christ; seeks heavenly things (Colossians 3:1,2) Who is a believer?

How do we set our affections on things above? By being dead to sin v. 3,4 By putting off of our old sinful lifestyle v. 5-8 By putting on a new lifestyle of Christ v. 9-17 By living as God commands us in every place and situation v. 18-25

Why must we focus on heavenly things? Christ has gone to prepare a place for us in heaven John 14: 1-3 Heaven is a holy place; those who will make it must get themselves ready for Christ’s return Colossians 3:4

God’s has Instruction for Everybody The Father (THE HEAD) Love his wife; be not bitter against her(v. 19; Eph. 5:28, 33) Do not provoke the children (v. 21) The Wife Submits to her husband DELIBERATELY (v. 18; Eph. 5:22) The Children Obey our parents provided we are not told to disobey God (v. 20; Eph. 6:1) Servants Obey our masters in all things…as unto the Lord (v. 22-25) The head takes decision

Questions Who is a believer? Why should a saved youth set his affections on things above? How can Christian youths exhibit scriptural traits seen in our text? What are some of the evidences of the risen life? Why does God give instructions pertaining to the Christian home?
