Beatitudes Found in the gospels of Matthew and Luke Word means “blessed’ or “happy” Go beyond commandments and lead to perfection

Precepts of the Church Five precepts that bind all baptized members of the church (CCC) The precepts are Attend Mass on Sundays and holydays of obligation Confess your sins at least once a year Receive the sacrament of the Eucharist at least once a year Observe days of fast and abstinence Provide for the needs of the church
