Trip #4: Exodus 24 - 31 Moses stayed on the mountain for 40 days and 40 nights and received lots of laws…and the Ten Commandments.
Then the Lord said to Moses, “Go down, because your people, whom you brought up out of Egypt, have become corrupt. They have been quick to turn away from what I commanded them and have made themselves an idol cast in the shape of a calf. Trip #5: Exodus 32:31 – 33:3 Moses pleads with the Lord to forgive. God agrees but promises to punish those who deserved punishment. middle of p. 66, The Story
Trip #6: Exodus 34:4 – 28 Moses stayed on the mountain for 40 days (again). God gave him more instructions and God spoke the Ten Commandments (again) for Moses to write on the stone tablets. middle of p. 68, The Story
