Non-Fiction Conventions Strategies to help you find important information in non-fiction text

Table of Contents The part of a book that lists the sections and the page number where the sections begin.

Font and Text Effects                                                                     Colubrids constitute the largest snake family in the world. Mostly harmless, these snakes move quickly and have well developed eyes and slender tails. The rough green snake, Opheodrys aestivus, is a small, docile snake sometimes kept as a pet.
