National Hispanic (Latino/a) Heritage Month National Hispanic (Latino/a) Heritage Month is celebrated annually from September 15 to October 15 in the United States, by honoring the histories, traditions, culture, and contributions of Latino Americans. The heritage holiday was first celebrated in 1968 and was designated by President Ronald Reagan in 1988. Sept. 15 marks the start of National Hispanic (Latino/a) Heritage Month because it is also the anniversary of independence for many Latin American countries, including Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua. Mexico and Chile celebrate their independence days Sept. 16.

PICTURE RETAKES OCTOBER 6 New students or students absent on picture day will be getting their picture taken. All students need to get pictures for ID cards and the yearbook. You will be called to the library. Retakes? Have a picture you just don’t like? You must bring in your original picture packet to turn in to the photographer.
