Club Members Strong club membership is essential - our members are the life-blood of our organisation.

Club Structure Every club must have a Treasurer, Programme Action Officer and a Secretary. Clubs can decide on their own structure :– -whether to have a President and other officers - do they want an Executive Committee to lead the club and any other committees.

Clubs are in Regions and we are the South West & Channel Island Regions are in Federations

UNITED NATIONS Soroptimist International has General Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations (ECOSOC) S.I. was the first women’s service organisations to attain this status It is reviewed every four years

ADVOCACY SI has a Director of Advocacy who leads the input to the UN from SI and the 4 Federations. We also have permanent representatives in New York, Paris, Rome and Geneva.

ADVOCACY SIGBI holds special consultative status with the ECOSOC (Economic & Social Committee) of the United Nations. Enables SIGBI to formally submit information, statements and comments to any of the relevant committees and commissions of ECOSOC.

SIGBI The sixtieth session of the Commission on the Status of Women will take place at United Nations Headquarters in New York from 14th to 24th March 2016. SIGBI will have 12 delegates and Pat Black, Director of Advocacy is hoping to run a workshop in the UN building. Representatives of Member States , UN entities, and ECOSOC-accredited non-governmental organizations (NGOs) from all regions of the world attend the session.

SIGBI Soroptimist International Great Britain and Ireland. Managed by a Federation Management Board of 12 members, including the President, President Elect, Vice President and Immediate Past President. The President serves for 1 year There are 8 other Directors, including the Programme Director There are 3 Directors Without Portfolio.
