Teachers as Leaders Research and practice substantiates that teacher leaders are important to the success of any school and its community. Teacher Leaders (TL) already exist within schools. Their identification and development is cost effective for principals and school districts.

Purpose--“Identifying Teacher Leaders as Change Agents For Student Success”

Building Teacher Leadership Capacity Reflective Questions Are all teachers leaders? Do your teachers view themselves as leaders? Do teachers understand how to use leadership skills? Do teachers engage in adult-to-adult collaboration and problem-solving with other teachers and administrators? Do teacher leaders contribute to the academic and behavioral success of students? Are teacher leaders change agents in and outside of the classroom?
