What happened On October 3rd, 1993. 120 Delta Force Commandos and Army Rangers were dropped into the heart of Mogadishu, Somalia to capture Somali terrorist.

The capture of lead terrorist Mohammed Farrah Aidid Aidid has been killing U.N workers delivering food to starving Somalis. Aidid’s goal was to control the country by controlling all the food.

Raid gone wrong Two of the U.S. Black Hawk helicopters, were shot down Fire fight immediately started

Victims This left 18 U.S soldiers killed 73 wounded 1 captured, Michael durant 3,000 Somali casualties also resulted including civilians.
