ACCOUNTANS AND AUDITORS Presented by: Ariana Bautista

JOB DUTIES Does public service, management, government accounting and internal auditing. Review reports, tax returns. Review finances and report problems and inspect accounts.

ADAVANTAGES The accountant auditor has a good salary. They has better control in their own finances. Has a good and comfortable environment. Insurance, retirement plans and vacations.

DISADVANTAGES Require a lot concentration. Can be stressful and tired. Work with people could be difficult.

EDUCATION/TRAINING A bachelor’s degree. 24 semester units in accounting-related subjects. 24 semester units in business-related or further accounting classes. Passing the Uniform CPA Exam. Passing an ethics course. (principles, moral cod.)

EXPERIENCE Previous experience in accounting or auditing can help an applicant get a job. More prestigious accounting firms may require applicants to have 5-10 years experience as a Public Accountant.  Many colleges offer students an opportunity to gain experience. (summer, part-time.)
