New Ministry of Labour Number for exclusive use for Police, Fire and EMS What’s Happening? In order to provide increased service and response time for our colleagues in Emergency Services, the Ministry of Labour’s Health and Safety Contact Centre (Contact Centre) has obtained a new toll-free number for first responders to report workplace injuries, including but not limited to workplace fatalities and critical injuries. The new number is 1-844-275-9033, and is for the exclusive use by Police Services, Fire Services and Emergency Medical Services. This new number will give the caller the highest priority when calling in to the Contact Centre, and will reduce wait times for our partners in the Emergency Services who are attending workplace incidents and are notifying the ministry.
