All assignments must be completed to successfully complete the course! Grading Information Tests (30-60 points; 2-3 per marking period) Lab reports (15 points; 7-9 per marking period) Prelabs (3 points; 7-9 per marking period) Chapter homework (5 points; 2-3 per marking period) Study Guides (+5 points; optional) Projects (points vary; 1-2 per marking period) Assignments/Quizzes (3-10 points; 2-3 per marking period) Critiques (4 points; 9 total for the year) All assignments must be completed to successfully complete the course!
Extra Credit Homework may be turned in early for extra credit. Study guides are worth extra credit on tests. All extra credit is added on at the end of the marking period. Students should see me if they are concerned about grade. All required assignments must be turned in before an extra credit project is accepted.
How Can I Help My Child? Visit classroom/school. Find out about the curriculum being taught. Meet with child’s teacher to discuss expectations and goals. Ask your child what he/she is doing or what he/she learned today in class. Visit school/teacher website for updates and track grades.
