Practice Test- It is a good idea to do this assignment on Wednesday so you know which words you need to concentrate on studying for the test. Have a grown up read the words and write them on the lines. No peeking at your list! Journal Writing- What do pets need? Write at least 2 sentences and draw a picture. I am looking for the students to do this the best that they can. They are not expected to spell every word correctly. I am looking for them to use their knowledge of letter sounds to spell the words. As long as each sound is represented by a letter, they are on the right track. For example, if they write mak for make, or tri for try, they are representing the sounds that they hear in the word.
