HISTORY TO CHEW ON By: Reese, Kendall, Mayssa, Ryder IN THE 1930S AND ‘ 40S, THE MOST POPULAR FLAVORS WERE JUICYFRUIT,SPEARMINT, DOUBLEMINT, DOUBLE BUBBLE, BLACK JACK, BEEMAN’S PEPSIN, AND DENTYNE. SINCE 1960, PEOPLE HAVE BEEN PUTTING THEIR CHEWED GUM ON AN OLD BRICK BUILDING IN SAN LUIS OBISPO, CALIFORNIA.

Why is the invention important? The invention is important because if Thomas Adams hadn’t invented the people eating beetles would still have stained teeth It is also important because it gives people good breath

How has the invention changed over time Back then spruce gum wasn’t flavored and now it is flavored.

Intersting facts Native peoples from north America liked a sticky goo made from the Sap from spruce trees. By 1871 chewing gum became so popular that Tomas Adams a New York Gum inventor and salesperson invented a Gum making machine.
