BEREA-MIDPARK HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 2017 IMPORTANT DATES FOR SENIORS March 17th All Senior fees including Senior Dues must be paid in full April 18th – May 5th   Prom tickets will be on sale during lunch periods.  You will only be able to purchase your prom ticket if all your school fees including SENIOR DUES are PAID IN FULL. May 1st – 5th   PARENTS ONLY will be able to purchase tickets in the 8am – 10am Activities Office with Mrs. Peggy Huszai April 25th & 27st Students and parents can purchase prom tickets after 2:30 – 4pm school in the Main Office. May 17th Senior Scholarship Recognition Night 7pm May 17th – 18th   Senior Final Exams May 19th Senior Final Exams Make-up Day May 20th   Prom at Wagner’s of Westlake   6pm – 11pm May 21st   Post Prom at BMHS 11:30pm – 3am May 23rd Senior Awards Assembly in BMHS Auditorium 7:30am May 23rd   Senior Breakfast in BMHS Cafeteria 8:30am May 23rd Mandatory Commencement Practice 9:30am If you do not show up for practice you will not be permitted to walk at Commencement. May 23rd Seniors be at the CSU Wolstein Center for Commencement 6:45pm May 23rd Commencement will start at 7:30pm. Each student will be given 12 tickets for the Commencement ceremony.  Please contact Mr. Ruggiero if more tickets are needed. We will be having a picture slide show before the Commencement Ceremony. We ask that only pictures that relate to a function/activity with the Berea City Schools from elementary to high school can be uploaded and each family is limited to only two (2) pictures.  We currently do not have the website ready for download picture, but will communicate when it is ready and thank you for your patience and apologize for any inconvenience

Fall College Visits 40+ Representatives coming from colleges and universities to Berea-Midpark High School to meet with our Juniors and Seniors Students can sign up for a maximum of 4. Students can sign up through their Naviance account. Students are encouraged to get on campuses to make sure they find the best fit. They may miss school 3 days by getting college visit forms to attendance before their visit.

R, M & S vary for each student Reach, Match and Safety R, M & S vary for each student Reach: difficult to obtain admission, some schools are virtually reach schools for everyone because of very low acceptance rates Match: these are schools that are considered a good match but admission is not guaranteed Safety: schools where the student is probably guaranteed admission and the student is in the top 25% for test scores and class standing

Berea – Midpark High School Guidance Department October 19, 2016 Grade Twelve Name _______________________ ID Number ________ Please check the option you will participate in on October 19. ____ College Workshop – Students will be in the library working on applications, essays, résumés, scholarship searches. ____ Practice ACT Test – Students will take a full-length practice ACT Test. This test will be scored to give students a composite on the four areas. ____ Ohio Means Jobs Career Presentation – Students will learn about career apprenticeships, employment programs, in-demand careers, employability skills and future employment opportunities. ____ College Visitation – Students must set up with a college of their choice. Field trip form must be turned into attendance by October 14th. Form must be signed by college on day of visitation and returned on October 20th. ____ ASVAB – Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery to explore occupations and determine career goals.

Scholarship Bulletins Scholarship Bulletins are available on the website under school counselors, college bound. Students were given the first one Friday or Monday in English classes and announcements were made to anyone without an English class to see the website or stop into the counseling office for a hard copy. Hard copies are available in the counseling office. Websites are given for students to create a profile and have scholarships in which they are eligible for emailed to them.
