3 PERSON FLAT SHOULDER CARRY THE TEAM MUST LOOK OVER HEAD TO BE SURE THAT THE AREA IS CLEAR THE BUTT PERSON MUST SOUND OUT OVERHEAD IS CLEAR
3 PERSON FLAT SHOULDER CARRY In the event a ladder must be carried through a narrow opening an overhead carry may be required
3PERSON FLAT SHOULDER CARRY ALL COMMANDS AND ACTIONS WILL BE MADE WITHOUT STOPPING OR SLOWING THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE LADDER
3 PERSON FLAT SHOULDER CARRY Butt person will give the preparatory command – prepare for an overhead carry Each person will place their inside hand on the opposite beam, and their outside hand on the beam that rests on their shoulder
3 PERSON FLAT SHOULDER CARRY The butt person will then give the command over head carry Each person will begin lifting the ladder over their heads as they move inward ending up under the ladder
3 PERSON FLAT SHOULDER CARRY After the company has cleared the obstruction, the last person will call out clear. The butt person will then give the command prepare for flat shoulder carry
3 PERSON FLAT SHOULDER CARRY The butt person will then give the command flat shoulder carry Each person must then return to their original position, and resume the flat shoulder carry
