Christmas in Spain BY ANDRÉS AND ISRAEL

NATIVITY SCENE You buy the figures and once you have all you need, you start looking for a platform to set it up. Then you start by placing the barn where Jesus was born and the rest of the figures.

Christmas Tree You can place an artificial tree or a natural one, then you hang: * lights * balls * pineapples * Various ornaments

CHRISTMAS EVE (December 24th) Children dress up as sheperds and gather at relatives' houses for dinner, they eat together and sing Christmas carols to celebrate.

Christmas Day (December 25th) Families sing carols together, play instruments to the beat of songs, the whole family has lunch together.

NEW YEAR´S EVE (December 31st) We have dinner with our family. When it reaches 12 at night we all eat 12 grapes for good luck during the 12 months of the coming year Once we have the 12 grapes, we welcome the New Year to our family and friends and go out to some New Year's Eve Party.

NEW YEAR' S DAY (January 1st) Families have a nice lunch at home with the whole family or at some good pub to celebrate the first day of the year.

JANUARY 5th AT NIGHT That night there is a big Parade in every village representing the arrival of the Three Magic Kings. They throw candies and sweets and during the night they brig presents for kids and leave them under the Christmas tree.

JANUARY 6th On January 6th, when children wake up they find their gifts and sweet coal if they didn't behave right during the year. They wake up very early to see all the presents.
