Summary and watercolor Of the myth: Demeter and persephone

How Spring Came To Be Persephone and Demeter Zeus was the king of all gods. He had three sisters. One sister was named Hera. She was the goddess of marriage. His second sister was named Hestia. She was the goddess of home and hearth. And his third sister was named Demeter. She was the goddess of harvest. Whenever she was sad, the crops would die. Everyone always tried to keep her happy so the crops would stay alive. But, the one thing that always made Demeter happy was her daughter, Persephone. Persephone grew up to be a pretty young woman. One day, she was picking flowers in the fields. Hades, her uncle, also the god of the underworld, had noticed her. He instantly fell in love with her. Since he wanted her all for himself, he kidnapped her and took her to the underworld. She cried and cried to go back home, and she refused to eat. Rumor has it that if you eat in the underworld, you could never leave. So, she did not take a chance whether it was true or not. But, finally, she was starving, so she ate six pomegranate seeds. She would have to stay there forever. Meanwhile, Demeter was sad on earth. She missed her daughter, so the crops were not doing so well. Zeus decided that if the crops were dead, no one would worship Zeus. So, he sent Hermes, his son, to make a deal with Hades. Hermes decided to make the deal that Persephone would marry Hades and be queen of the underworld for six months. However, each spring, she would return to Earth. Everyone finally agreed to the deal. So every spring, Demeter made sure all the flowers bloomed for the return of Persephone to welcome her. But when she left in the fall, Demeter cried and was sad, so the crops would die until next spring. This cycle continues even to this day.

It’s raining, It’s pouring Nature Myth and mask It’s raining, It’s pouring

It’s Raining, It’s Pouring! When she saw……… a wonderful sight in the corner of her eye. It was Zeus, The man she has been longing for all her life. “This is my chance,” thought Relena. “I just need to make my way over there.” So she quietly went straight up to Zeus. “Hi!” she said loudly and happily. “I’m Relena!” Zeus turned around with a smile. But when he saw her, his smile dropped and he jumped back in fear. “What do you want?!” Zeus exclaimed disgustedly. Relena slowly yet excitedly told him about how she wanted badly to be his wife and queen. Relena had a big smile on her face yet was worried on the inside about how Zeus was feeling about all of this. Meanwhile, Zeus was listening very carefully to what she had to say. When she was done, he thought for a few minutes. He then came to a conclusion that changed everyone’s life forever. Relena waited anxiously as Zeus came to his result. He finally spoke his words. “Relena, I can never ever be your husband! My beautiful wife and queen, Hera, is my special wife, and I shall not marry you as long as we shall live.” He then ran away back to his wife and family. Relena just stood there in shock. Her eyes started to tear up in sadness and a bit of anger. She was heartbroken. She then bolted away in agony. So………….
