Service Description Service name: Plagiarism Detection Product: Turnitin (single-product offering) Description: Turnitin is plagiarism detection cloud-based software licensed by the Office of the Provost which scans student work for matched text by comparing the work to a large repository of student work, publications, and material on the Internet. The Turnitin service is available through an interface built into Cornell's Blackboard Course Management System. Available to: Faculty, Instructional Professionals, Students, and Weill Fee to end user? No Service tier: One

Cost Per Unit Total Annual Cost: $62,958 # of Submissions annually: 67,551 Cost per Submission: $0.93 Marginal Costs: HW remains $0, as this service is in the cloud. Software costs are flat up to 21,593 users. Labor costs for user support will increase as users/courses are added.
