What is it? Positive appreciation means you make room in your heart to honestly and actively respect and care about people and their cultural context. God models love Jesus expressed immense positive appreciation of people. To love others is part of our calling as Christians. If we carry on in ministry without having a positive appreciation for others, our work will be counterproductive and fruitless. © 2012 Emmanuel Gospel Center 3

How do you do it? Positive appreciation takes time. Here are some things to keep in mind: We initiate positive appreciation. Love will require courage and determination. Flee from paternalism.
